Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 11, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Virtue application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Taylor Matthews ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Service is provided by Taylor Matthews, an individual sole proprietor. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

Virtue provides devotional content, journaling, community features, and related tools for women and teens seeking to grow in Christ. Certain features require a paid Virtue+ subscription.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular you must not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam, or harassment.
  • Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
  • Interfere with security (malware, probing, scraping, or bypassing rate limits).
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service without written permission.

5. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (journal entries, posts, comments). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you and, where you choose, to other users.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and written content (other than your user content), is owned by Taylor Matthews and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan.

7. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Virtue+ is billed monthly. Payments, tax, billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by our online reseller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our refund terms are described on the Refund Policy page.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account or via paddle.net.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create security or fraud risk, or seriously or repeatedly violate our policies. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your data via our Privacy Notice before deletion.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your user content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Taylor Matthews resides, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
